Das ANALOG FILM LAB NRW ist ein Treffpunkt für Analog- Interessierte und Filmemacher:innen aller Sparten, die mit analoger Filmtechnik arbeiten und experimentieren möchten.
Dieses Seminar im Lab ist ein zweitägiger, intensiver und experimenteller Workshop mit und über das Phänomen Super 8.
Im Seminar werden die folgenden Fragen und Themen behandelt:
• Welche Kameras gibt es und wie funktionieren sie?
• Altes und neues Filmmaterial, wie wird was belichtet und was gibt es da überhaupt auf dem Markt?
• Was ist eine Filmemulsion?
• Wie entsteht ein Kurzfilm, wie kann ich meine kleine Idee umsetzen?
• Intuition, Zufall und Spaß am Spiel
• Spontanfilmen in der kleinen Gruppe
• Welches Labor entwickelt noch Filme und wie kann ich sie selber entwickeln?
• Was hat es mit dem geheimnisvollen “Caffenol” auf sich?
• Wie braue ich eine Entwicklersuppe, was brauch ich für Zutaten und wieso funktioniert das so wunderbar?
• Was kommt nach der Entwicklung, wie bekomme ich eine digitale Kopie zur Weiterverarbeitung?

The ANALOG FILM LAB NRW is a meeting place for analogue enthusiasts and filmmakers of all disciplines who want to work and experiment with analogue film technology.
This seminar at the Lab is a two-day, intensive and experimental workshop with and about the Super 8 phenomenon.
The seminar will cover the following questions and topics:
• What cameras are there and how do they work?
• Old and new film material, how is what exposed and what is available on the market?
• What is a film emulsion?
• How is a short film made, how can I realise my little idea?
• Intuition, chance and the fun of playing
• Spontaneous filming in a small group
• Which lab still develops films and how can I develop them myself?
• What's the story behind the mysterious "Caffenol"?
• How do I brew a developer soup, what ingredients do I need and why does it work so wonderfully?
• What comes after development, how do I get a digital copy for further processing?
